Clivias are a hardy, shade-loving, flowering perennial that is easy to grow and can tolerate most well-drained soils. It prefers to grow under trees and shrubs in moist, humus-rich, free-draining soil. Plant in rockeries, garden beds, borders, patio pots and containers.
Clivias can be used as a feature plant and adds a tropical feel to courtyards and swimming pool areas. It makes an excellent cut flower.
